By Alice Poluchova, President of CZ-USA

I would like to take this opportunity and share few words about Bobby Holik. We both have our roots in Czech Republic, we both grew up behind the iron curtain and we both share deep appreciation for the opportunities that life in the United States has presented us with. Bobby is one of the most successful hockey players of the Czech origin, he has played 18 seasons in NHL and won two Stanley Cups in his career. I was very honored when he approached CZ-USA with an offer for cooperation.

Bobby has always enjoyed all outdoor activities including shooting . After he retired from hockey he started to spend more time at the shooting ranges. He has had two CZ firearms in his collection (CZ 75 B and CZ 455) and he was very happy with the accuracy and the feel of CZ firearms. Friend of Bobby’s owns a shooting range and shooting school in WY and he has put him in touch with me and I have offered Bobby the position of celebrity spokesperson for CZ-USA. One of Bobby’s first appearances in CZ colors was during the Buffalo Bill Invitation Shootout in Cody, WY that benefits the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, very important monument to the American history and to the Spirit of the American West.

I have spent a week in October at Dismal River Ranch in Nebraska with Bobby shooting various CZ firearms (pistols, long range rifles, shotguns) and talking about CZ products, his life and hockey. During these few days Bobby  has hit a target of the size of a number plate at 1000 yards with CZ 550 HET – high energy tactical rifle in .338 Lapua, he was consistently shooting CZ 550 American in .308 Win at 400 yards and he has harvested his first big game animal with CZ 550 American in .270 Win, a corsican sheep. We have shot over 1000 rounds with CZ pistols and I was laughing at the trap house when only hand full of the clay targets made it to the ground.

I am very proud to have Bobby on CZ-USA shooting team, not only as a celebrity, but as a person and a true sportsman.

Bobby Holik

Bobby Holik, Czech American NHL Legend teamed up with CZ-USA in 2011 to promote the CZ line of bolt action rifles, semi-automatic handguns and handcrafted shotguns. The ice hockey center began his U.S. career with the Hartford Whalers, won two Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils and went on to plan for New York Rangers and Atlanta Thrashers. In his 1,314 career NHL games, Holik scored 747 points (326 goals, 421 assists) and became of the the most productive Czech born players in the NHL.
Like his grandfather, Bobby treasures our outdoor heritage. At home on his ranch in Wyoming, Bobby understands our responsibility as custodians for the land and wildlife on a first hand basis.

CZ firearms are imported to United States exclusively by CZ-USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceska Zbrojovka, a.s. Uhersky Brod (CZUB) of the Czech Republic whose history dates back to 1936. CZ firearms have been available through distribution channels in the US since 1991 through independent importers and in 1997 CZUB recognized the need to control its own destiny and established CZ-USA with its headquarters in Kansas City, KS. All distribution, sales, marketing, warranty and parts support operates from Kansas City location. In 2005 a great opportunity came to CZ-USA by acquiring Dan Wesson Firearms, traditional American manufacturer of premium 1911 style handguns and unique revolvers with interchangeable barrels.
